Different Countries, Same Family
Seraphina just got back from her second trip to the States to see pappa and his family — her cousin Mia, Uncle Audie, and Tita Camille all included, because to us, family isn’t limited by an ocean or a passport stamp.
Some of the best moments weren’t even the planned ones — an afternoon out fishing with pappa, and a driveway goodbye hug with the whole crew before the trip wrapped up.
We also made it to Silver Springs — home of the world-famous glass-bottom boats — where Seraphina got the same tight hug from both of her parents in front of the same sign. And on the Fourth of July, she watched fireworks over the marina for the very first time, got to honk at all the passing boats, which felt like its own kind of milestone.
We’re a family split across two countries. That doesn’t make us any less of one — it just means our hugs have to travel a little further sometimes.
